This year I took the plunge to become a Master Gardener. Many small acts—flowers planted, compost turned, tomatoes roasted, seeds saved, snails averted, fresh herbs harvested, and bees and hummingbirds welcomed—have led me to this new pursuit. Who could have predicted we'd be the first class to graduate in the midst of a pandemic. Join me in our garden as I put all that I've learned to work.
